Name

The name of this group shall be the Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group (HNHCP).

The Group is registered in Winterthur, Switzerland.

The Group has been established according to Article 60ff ZGB.

The Group is a non-profit group.

The Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group will organise a meeting at least once a year.

Members:

Members of the Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group are:

  • Nurses & Healthcare Professionals working in the field of haematology
  • Cancer nursing organizations and other groups of nurses with a focus on haematology
  • Organisations, institutions, pharmaceutical companies, agencies or other professionals involved in or interested in the care of haematology patients.

Official Statutes

The Haematology Nurses and Healthcare Professionals Group (here after referred as to “HNHCP”) is a non-profit organisation.

The financial year of the HNHCP Group coincides with the calendar year, starts at January 1st and ends respectively on December 31st

The HNHCP will be active within the scope of its purpose in the entire country of Switzerland as well as abroad.

The HNHCP finances its activities with means generated by itself as well as through contributions from third parties as well as returns on the Group's assets.

Contributions from   third parties do not allow any requirements that would contradict the purpose of the HNHCP.

In pursuit of the Haematology Nurses &Healthcare Professionals Group (HNHCP) purpose, the Group has the following resources:

  • Membership fee
  • Income from events
  • Grants
  • Donations
  • Gifts
  • Fundraising

Objectives of the Group:

The Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group is an international organization dedicated to the following charitable, educational and scientific purposes:

  1. Promoting the nurse’s and the other Healthcare Professionals role in improving the care for patients with a malignant and non-malignant haematological disease.
  2. To share and discuss strategies and innovations to promote evidenced based
    care and nursing
  3. To develop and promote educational programmes for nurses and other
    healthcare professionals
  4. Collaboration with national and international working groups and related associations
  5. Promotion and participation in nursing and healthcare research
  6. Publication of articles in peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed journals

Members

The members of the HNHCP Group are qualified nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals from centers / institutions caring for and working with patients who have haematological disorders both malignant and non-malignant including haemaglobinopathies, coagulation and thrombotic disorders.

Full Members –Nurses and allied healthcare professionals with a focus on haematological disorders both malignant and non-malignant including haemaglobinopathies, coagulation and thrombotic disorders are eligible for full membership in the HNHCP. Full members shall have full voting privileges.

Associate Members – Any organization, institution or agency involved in or interested in caring for and working with patients who have haematological disorders both malignant and non-malignant including haemaglobinopathies, coagulation and thrombotic disorders. Associate members shall be counted a 1 full member with full voting privileges.

Membership in the HNHCP shall be renewed annually.

Rights and responsibilities of the participants:

Opinions and decision making process:

  • Items to be submitted for discussion and decision must be received in advance so that they can be included in the agenda and non-attending members can give their view on the item by mail to the secretary/treasurer.
  • Decisions will be made based on the majority of votes by the members of the
    HNHCP Group
  • Each member has one vote

Structure of the Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group

The activities and business of the group will be conducted in English.
The membership list will contain the contact details of the members.

Haematology Nurses & Healthcare Professionals Group Board

The HNHCP Group Board, who is in charge of managing the Group, consists of a minimum of three (3) persons. There shall be no more that 2 representatives from one country on the board. The officers of the board will be President; Vice-President, & Secretary/Treasurer. The length of term for all officers is 3 years with the exception of the Vice-President whose term is 6 years to include 3 as president

Duties of the President:

  • Achieving in joint responsibility with the members the goals set by the HNHCP Group
  • Chairing (or delegating this duty to a member) of the meetings
  • Access to the HNHCP Group account
  • Organizing and maintain contacts with third parties (e.g. Working groups in the field of the Haematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation, and representatives from the Industry)
  • Providing regular information to the Working Group members

Duties of the Vice President:

  • Substitute and support of the president and/or treasurer in all duties
  • Filing of current membership list and HNHCP related documents.

Duties of the Secretary/Treasurer:

  • responsible for the minutes of meetings
  • Keeping track of the budget
  • Report on the budget to the HNGCP Group
  • Sending working group invitations/agenda to members
  • Access to the HNHCP Group account.

Voting procedure:

  • Members of the board are elected anonymously
  • There will be an electronic voting system
  • One vote per member
  • New elections take place every 3 years, reelection is possible once with the exception of the role of Vice President who can only stand once.
  • The Vice President will take over the position of the president after confirmation by its members
  • At least 10% of the HNHCP Group must have taken part in the voting before a new committee can be ratified.
